Post Christmas!

Hi everyone
I hope this finds you well after Christmas. I know a lot of my friends have been feeling pretty yuk so I hope they're feeling better.

Well I've had a lovely Christmas spent with my family but it's now back to normal. My crafting bits had to move out of my crafting space, aka the living room, but have now returned (smiles).

My card today is one I did for my hubby's birthday yesterday.

It involved lots of matting and layering. The sentiment was stamped and I also stamped the yacht twice, once on patterned paper so I could paper piece the sails. I added a few gems and some brown ribbon. I was pleased with it as I do find mens cards so difficult to make.

I'm now off to make cards for my Grandson so must go. Until next time...Lea x

Snowflakes

Hi all

Well just think this time next week it will all be over. The prezzies will be opened, the turkey will have been eaten and we will all be dozing with stuffed stomachs. Well everyone in my house will be.

Well another Christmas card for today. I have two more left to blog. This one is for my son. It is very shiny as it has a ton of mirri card on it.

I embossed silver mirri with an embossing folder from Crafters Companion. I used waste card that had a  bauble aperture cut out of it and put it on top of the mirri. I die cut some snowflakes out of mirri and black card. I finished with some faux gems and silver ribbon.

Well I'm off now. I hope you are all getting there with all your Christmas prep. I'll be back soon...Lea x

Christmas all done!

Oh my goodness me everyone I've finished the last Christmas card for the year - last one being Mr B's as usual! His is always the last one off the press. I will blog that one tomorrow.

Today's card has been made for my Granddaughters mummy. I felt it needed an angel. My image was off the web but I don't know where from so I apologise as I can't credit it to anyone in particular. If this changes I will gladly do so. She was coloured with my promarkers and die cut with an SB die. I added gems to some little bubble marks on the image.

I added some dotty embossed paper and another paper from my stash. This was backed onto gold mirri.  The corners are actually waste from a die cut and are too pretty to waste. I finished with thin gold ribbon and a sentiment.

Well I will catch you again tomorrow. I think I have three more cards to blog on the Christmas theme......Lea x

Skaters

Hello everyone
Well at the moment it's a case of blog when I can. This is a quick pop in - I have three Christmas cards left to make and daren't stop! You'd think as I am at home all day that I would be uber organised but no - time is ticking away.

This card is for my Grandson to give to his mum.  I used a couple of Christmas papers. I had coloured the image in weeks ago. I cut it out with an SB die as I did the word 'mum'. I added an SB snowman and some SB snowflakes. I added some ribbon and faux pearls. I'm sure my Grandson will be pleased....Lea x

Those pesky snow people again!

Hello everyone

Well I know it is the early hours but I have been crafting and got a little carried away. I think my timings are up the creek as I tend to sleep later in the morning particularly if I've had a rough night. Actually today has been a good day, the first one for ages (big smiley face).

Well as you can see the snow people have raised their head - for the last time this year might I add! They've been coloured with my fave pro markers and backed onto a red mirri card. The papers are from a LOTV paper pack again backed onto the mirri card. The card is for my parents as my Dad loves snowmen. I finished the card with die cut snowflakes, a computer generated sentiment, faux gems and ribbon.

I have nearly finished my Christmas cards now. It's a good job as the weeks are just flying. I'll catch up again soon. Bye for now...Leax

Long time no blog

Hi everyone

Well I don't know where the days have gone. I just haven't had time to blog - don't ask me what I've been doing because I don't know. I went to my parents for a few days. My hubby felt I needed a change of scenery and faces. I am resting loads as instructed by the doc which of course includes quietly crafting. The last few days have seen us getting all Christmassy. The tree is up and the lights are twinkling.

My card today is a birthday card. It is for a commission. This one is round two. I started a different one (which I will be able to finish) that was just too dark.

The flowers are part SB and part ready made flowers. The sentiment is computer generated and cut out with SB 18. The card has a bit of everything - pearls, ribbon and lace. I am pleased with it now after the disastrous start.

Well I'm off now. I hope to keep up with things now. Until the next time...Lea x
